The Desert call is a cry for help by a fragile environment caught between droughts and poaching and stressed between the cruelty of nature and the injustice of man. This part shows the reality of some of the unprotected regions in Saudi Arabia and offers new details about a variety of wild species and their life cycle as well as the change of seasons in the desert. The film also sheds some light on an ambitious programme ,by the Saudi Wildlife Commission(SWC) in Al- Ta’if research center, to rear and propagate houbaras in captivity and releasing them in the wild after rehabilitation. |
